RocketMerit uses third-party authentication services, including Clerk, for account authentication.
You are responsible for:
You may have only one RocketMerit account.
You may not:
RocketMerit may suspend or terminate duplicate or abusive accounts.
RocketMerit supports several roles.
Mentee Every eligible user may act as a Mentee and book mentorship sessions.
Mentor A user may become a Mentor by creating and maintaining a Mentor Profile and satisfying RocketMerit's applicable requirements. Mentors offer professional guidance through paid one-to-one sessions.
Creator A user becomes a Creator when they launch a Campaign. Creators fund Campaigns and establish Tasks for Contributors.
Contributor A user becomes a Contributor when they complete their first qualifying Task. Contributors may accept Tasks offered through other users' Campaigns.
A user may hold multiple roles simultaneously.
Roles are based on actual activity and eligibility rather than being permanently assigned at account creation.
Mentorship is a central service of RocketMerit.
RocketMerit provides a marketplace through which Mentees can discover Mentors, review Mentor profiles, book sessions, and communicate with Mentors in connection with those sessions.
Mentors may provide services including:
RocketMerit does not guarantee that a particular Mentor will achieve a particular result for a Mentee.
Mentors are independent service providers using the RocketMerit marketplace. RocketMerit does not guarantee a Mentor's qualifications, professional outcome, employment outcome, interview outcome, promotion, salary increase, or other result.
Users are responsible for evaluating whether a Mentor is appropriate for their individual needs.
Mentors control their listed:
Mentors set weekly hours that repeat every week, can mark individual days off, and Mentees can book up to 8 weeks ahead. RocketMerit does not guarantee that a particular Mentor has free times.
Mentors must provide accurate information about their professional background and services.
Mentors must not falsely claim qualifications, employment, certifications, experience, or professional achievements.
RocketMerit may remove or restrict a Mentor Profile that contains misleading, fraudulent, unsafe, or prohibited information.
Mentorship sessions are paid for using Merit Tokens ("MT").
The applicable session price is displayed before booking.
When you confirm a booking, the required MT is deducted or reserved according to the applicable booking mechanism.
A Mentor receives the applicable Mentor share when the session is successfully settled.
RocketMerit's standard mentorship commission is: 15% of the session price.
The remaining 85% is allocated to the Mentor after successful settlement, subject to applicable adjustments, disputes, refunds, payment-provider requirements, and fraud controls.
RocketMerit may change its commission structure prospectively by updating the applicable pricing information and policies.
Mentee cancellation
A Mentee may cancel a confirmed session 24 hours or more before the scheduled session and receive a full refund of the session MT, subject to the applicable refund mechanism.
If a Mentee cancels less than 24 hours before the scheduled session, the standard result is:
Mentor cancellation
If a Mentor cancels a confirmed session, the Mentee receives a full refund of the session MT.
No-show
If a Mentor or Mentee does not attend a scheduled session, the session may be recorded as a no-show. After the session time, both parties are asked whether the session took place:
After a session, the parties may confirm completion or report a problem through the available RocketMerit workflow.
Where the available workflow requests confirmation of completion, the other party may:
If no action is taken within the applicable 24-hour completion period, the session may be automatically settled.
A reported problem may suspend automatic settlement while RocketMerit reviews the matter.
RocketMerit may request information from either party and may make a resolution based on the information reasonably available to it.
RocketMerit does not guarantee a particular outcome in a mentorship dispute.
After a mentorship session, users may be asked to provide feedback.
Feedback may include ratings or comments concerning:
Users must provide honest feedback.
Reviews must not contain:
RocketMerit may remove reviews that violate these Terms or the Platform Rules.
Merit Tokens ("MT") are RocketMerit's internal platform utility and reward units.
MT are:
MT may be used only through RocketMerit's permitted mechanisms. These may include:
MT value
For RocketMerit's internal accounting: 100 MT = USD $1.00 equivalent.
This reference value is used for platform pricing, rewards, accounting, and payout calculations. It does not mean that every MT can automatically be converted into cash.
MT may be purchased through payment methods made available by RocketMerit.
Payment processing is provided by third-party payment providers. In the RocketMerit iPhone app, MT is purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. In the RocketMerit Android app, MT is purchased through Google Play Billing where it is available; until then, MT cannot be purchased in the Android app. Purchases made through Apple or Google are also subject to Apple's or Google's terms, and their refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
RocketMerit does not normally store your full payment-card details.
The price displayed to you at checkout is the applicable purchase price.
Payment-provider charges, currency conversion charges, taxes, or other applicable charges may apply depending on your country, payment method, and transaction.
RocketMerit may refuse, delay, reverse, or investigate a transaction where fraud, payment failure, chargeback, technical error, or legal/compliance concerns exist.
Where mobile-store payment rules require purchases to be processed through Apple or Google billing, RocketMerit may use the payment mechanism required for that platform.
Your RocketMerit Wallet records your MT balance and applicable wallet transactions.
Your Wallet is not:
MT balances are maintained solely for use within RocketMerit.
Wallet balances may be adjusted where necessary to correct:
RocketMerit maintains transaction records for financial, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, and legal purposes.
A Campaign allows a Creator to establish Tasks and allocate MT rewards for qualifying contributions.
A Campaign may include:
The Creator is responsible for ensuring that Campaign information is accurate and lawful.
A Creator must fund the required Campaign amount before Tasks can become available.
The required MT may be placed into Campaign escrow.
A newly created Campaign has a 10-minute launch window.
During the 10-minute launch window, the Creator may cancel the Campaign and receive a full refund of the locked, unused Campaign MT.
After the launch window expires, the Campaign may become active and cannot be cancelled under the initial launch-cancellation mechanism.
A Campaign may move through states including:
Launching — The Campaign is within its initial 10-minute launch period. Active — The Campaign is available for qualifying Contributors. Paused — The Creator has temporarily stopped new Task activity. Filled — The Campaign has reached its available Task target. Closed — The Creator has closed the Campaign.
RocketMerit does not automatically close a Campaign merely because seven days have passed. A Campaign may remain available until the Creator pauses, closes, or otherwise manages it according to the applicable platform rules.
A Creator may close a Campaign after the initial launch period.
When a Campaign is closed:
RocketMerit does not refund MT that is already committed to protected Contributor work. This prevents a Creator from closing a Campaign to avoid payment for work already undertaken by a Contributor.
RocketMerit may allow an eligible Campaign to be reopened.
Reopening may depend on:
RocketMerit does not guarantee that every closed or filled Campaign can be reopened.
A Task is a defined contribution associated with a Campaign.
A Task may require a Contributor to perform an action specified by the Campaign.
Depending on the Campaign, proof may include:
Contributors must complete Tasks honestly.
When a Contributor accepts a Task, the Task is reserved for that Contributor for 30 minutes.
The Contributor must submit the required proof within the reservation period.
If the Contributor does not complete the Task within the applicable period, the reservation may expire and the Task may become available to another Contributor.
A Contributor may not accept a Task associated with their own Campaign. RocketMerit uses technical controls to prevent self-acceptance.
A Creator may review submitted Task proof and:
When a Task is approved, the applicable MT reward is released to the Contributor's Wallet, subject to the applicable platform fee.
If a Creator does not review a completed submission within 24 hours, the Task may be automatically approved and released. This automatic release mechanism is intended to prevent Contributors from being indefinitely delayed by an inactive Creator.
Campaign Action Types may have different platform fee percentages.
The applicable fee is displayed or incorporated into Campaign pricing before the Campaign is funded.
For applicable Campaign calculations, the platform fee may be rounded according to RocketMerit's pricing rules, including rounding to the nearest 10 MT where specified during Campaign creation.
The exact reward and total Campaign cost shown at creation govern the transaction.
Contributors receive MT for qualifying Tasks.
Rewards are subject to:
RocketMerit does not guarantee that a Contributor will receive a particular amount of MT.
Where cash payouts are enabled, eligible MT may be converted into a cash payout through RocketMerit's supported payout system.
The current minimum withdrawal is: 5,000 MT = USD $50 equivalent.
The current withdrawal fee is: the greater of 100 MT or 2% of the requested withdrawal amount, capped at 500 MT.
Cash payout requires successful identity and payout-account verification.
Payouts are sent to a payout method you add in RocketMerit, such as a bank account, PayPal or UPI where available, or an existing verified Stripe account. Each withdrawal is reviewed before it is sent.
RocketMerit may restrict cash payouts based on:
A user cannot demand a cash payout where cash withdrawal is not enabled for that user's account or country.
RocketMerit may provide referral rewards.
Referral rewards are subject to the qualifying conditions displayed by RocketMerit.
You may not:
RocketMerit may reverse referral rewards obtained through prohibited or fraudulent activity.
RocketMerit may allow you to connect third-party accounts, including LinkedIn and GitHub.
Connected accounts may be used for purposes such as:
RocketMerit does not request or store your third-party account password through the OAuth connection process.
You remain responsible for complying with the applicable third-party platform's rules.
RocketMerit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn, GitHub, or other third-party platforms unless expressly stated.
Third-party platforms may independently remove activity, restrict accounts, change their APIs, or impose other restrictions.
RocketMerit cannot guarantee that activity performed through a Campaign will remain visible or available on a third-party platform.
RocketMerit does not require you to violate another platform's terms.
You must not use RocketMerit to perform automated, fraudulent, deceptive, or otherwise prohibited activity on LinkedIn, GitHub, or another third-party platform.
If a Campaign conflicts with the rules of a third-party platform, you should not perform that Campaign.
RocketMerit may remove or suspend a Campaign if it believes the Campaign presents material legal, platform-policy, fraud, or safety risk.
You must not:
RocketMerit may take action against conduct that threatens the integrity, safety, or legitimate operation of the platform.
The Community Guidelines describe these rules in more detail and form part of these Terms.
RocketMerit may use automated and manual systems to detect:
Examples of risk signals may include unusually fast submissions, inconsistent proof, repeated suspicious activity, or unusual account relationships.
A risk flag does not necessarily mean that a user has violated these Terms.
RocketMerit may request additional information or conduct a manual review.
Rewards associated with confirmed fraudulent activity may be rejected, reversed, withheld, or forfeited to the extent permitted by law.
You retain ownership of content that you create and submit to RocketMerit, subject to any rights belonging to third parties.
This may include:
By submitting content to RocketMerit, you grant RocketMerit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, process, adapt, and use that content as reasonably necessary to:
This license does not transfer ownership of your content to RocketMerit.
Moderation of User Content
RocketMerit may check some text automatically before it is posted, for sexual content, hate and slurs, threats of violence, off-platform contact or payment details, and unsafe links. If text is stopped, you may edit it or ask for a human review.
Users can report content and block other users as described in the Community Guidelines. When content is reported, RocketMerit keeps a copy of it as it was at the time of the report so that it can be reviewed fairly, even if it is later edited or deleted.
Reports are reviewed by a person. RocketMerit aims to review reports within 48 hours. RocketMerit may hide content that breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines. Hiding content does not move money: rewards already earned for valid work remain with the users who earned them.
RocketMerit and its licensors own all rights in the Service itself, including:
You may use the Service only as permitted by these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms transfers RocketMerit's intellectual property to you.
RocketMerit may provide AI-assisted features, including RocketAssist.
AI-generated responses may contain errors or incomplete information.
AI output should not be treated as professional legal, financial, medical, employment, or other regulated professional advice.
You remain responsible for decisions you make based on AI-generated information.
RocketMerit may use third-party AI providers to operate AI features.
The applicable Privacy Policy explains how information used by AI features is handled.
RocketMerit may suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of:
Depending on the circumstances, RocketMerit may provide notice before suspension or termination or may act immediately where immediate action is reasonably necessary.
Termination does not automatically create a right to refund. MT already spent, committed to protected work, forfeited under these Terms, or associated with confirmed fraudulent activity may not be refundable.
Moderation decisions
Moderation decisions are made by a person and recorded with a reason. Hiding content and acting on an account are separate decisions. Account actions may be a warning or a suspension of 7 days, 30 days or permanently. You will be notified of a decision about your content or account and told how to appeal.
Funds during a suspension
If your account is suspended, MT you have already earned remains yours and you may still withdraw it under the usual payout requirements. RocketMerit may pause withdrawals only where it is reviewing suspected fraud, and will tell you when it does so.
Campaign budgets after moderation
Hiding a Campaign does not change its budget automatically. A Creator who wants the remaining budget returned must request it by email to support@rocketmerit.com. RocketMerit will then return only budget that is unused and not committed to Tasks already accepted, submitted or approved. Rewards earned for valid work are not reversed because a Campaign was hidden.
Appeals
You may appeal a moderation decision once, in the app using "Appeal this decision" (available while suspended) or by email to support@rocketmerit.com. Appeals are reviewed by a person, and RocketMerit aims to respond within 48 hours. The decision remains in effect until the appeal is decided; submitting an appeal does not by itself restore content or access. If an appeal succeeds, RocketMerit will restore the hidden content or lift the suspension.
You may request deletion of your account through the account settings.
RocketMerit's account deletion process includes a 14-day restoration and withdrawal period.
When deletion is requested:
After the 14-day period, RocketMerit may permanently delete or anonymize personal information subject to its legal, financial, security, dispute, and record-retention obligations.
Further details are contained in the Account Deletion & Data Retention Policy.
Payments and refunds are governed by the applicable Payment & Merit Token Policy and Refund/Cancellation Policy.
Refunds may depend on:
RocketMerit does not promise refunds outside the circumstances expressly provided by its policies or applicable law.
Where a payment is reversed or charged back, RocketMerit may temporarily restrict the associated account while the matter is investigated.
You are responsible for determining and complying with any tax obligations arising from your use of RocketMerit, including income, rewards, payments, mentorship income, or cash payouts where applicable.
Mentors and Contributors are responsible for determining whether their RocketMerit earnings are taxable in their jurisdiction.
RocketMerit may collect or provide information where required by applicable law or payment-provider requirements.
RocketMerit provides a platform and does not guarantee:
Mentors provide their own professional opinions and guidance.
You remain responsible for decisions you make based on information received from Mentors or RocketMerit.
RocketMerit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We seek to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee that:
Maintenance, outages, security incidents, third-party failures, network failures, and other circumstances may temporarily affect the Service.

This includes losses relating to:

RocketMerit encourages users to first contact support to resolve problems.

These Terms are governed primarily by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The courts and competent authorities in Patna, Bihar, India will have jurisdiction over disputes to the extent legally permitted.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that provides mandatory consumer-protection rights, nothing in this section is intended to remove or restrict those mandatory rights, including any right to bring a claim before a competent authority or court available under the laws applicable to you.
RocketMerit may update these Terms when necessary to reflect:
For material changes, RocketMerit will provide reasonable notice through the Service, email, or another appropriate method.
The updated Terms will state their effective date and version number.
When the Terms, the Community Guidelines or the Privacy Policy change materially, RocketMerit may ask you to accept the new version in the app before you continue using the Service. RocketMerit records which versions you accepted and when.
Your continued use of RocketMerit after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
If you do not agree to material changes, you may stop using the Service and request account deletion.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Failure by RocketMerit to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
These Terms, together with the policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and RocketMerit concerning your use of the Service.
You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without RocketMerit's consent.
RocketMerit may transfer or reorganize its rights and obligations as part of a legitimate business reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.
