RocketMerit connects Mentors, Mentees, Creators and Contributors. These Community Guidelines explain what is not allowed, how to report a problem, what RocketMerit does when a rule is broken, and how to appeal a decision.
They apply to everything you post or send on RocketMerit, including profiles, Mentor profiles, Campaign descriptions and instructions, Task proof, reviews, booking topics, meeting links, rejection reasons and dispute messages.
These Guidelines form part of the RocketMerit Terms of Service. The Platform Rules continue to apply.
Scams and fraud
Off-app contact and payment
Meeting links for mentorship sessions are allowed when they point to a supported meeting service (for example Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex or Jitsi). Profile links to LinkedIn and GitHub are allowed.
Sexual content
Harassment and hate
Violence and threats
Spam and misleading content
Copyright and stolen work
Unsafe links
Before some text is posted, RocketMerit checks it for five things: sexual content, hate and slurs, threats of violence, off-app contact or payment details, and unsafe links.
If the check stops your text, you will see why and can edit it. If you think the check made a mistake, choose Ask for a review. A person will look at it. If they agree, you can post that text.
The check only catches obvious cases. Reports from users cover the rest.
You can report a Campaign, Mentor profile, review or Task submission using the ⋯ menu on it. Choose a reason and add details if you can.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
You can block another user from the ⋯ menu. After blocking:
You can unblock someone at any time in Profile › Safety › Blocked users.
Depending on what happened, RocketMerit may:
Hiding content and acting on an account are separate decisions. Every decision is made by a person, recorded with a reason, and you are notified with a way to appeal.
Money during a suspension. If your account is suspended, money you have already earned remains yours and you can still withdraw it. Withdrawals are paused only where a fraud review is open, as explained in the Terms of Service and the Payment & Merit Token Policy.
Campaign budgets. When a Campaign is hidden, its budget is not changed automatically. A Creator who wants the unused budget back must email support@rocketmerit.com. RocketMerit then refunds only budget that is unused and not committed to Tasks already accepted or completed. Rewards earned for valid work are never taken back because a Campaign was hidden.
You can appeal any decision about your content or account:
When you appeal you will see the decision and the content it affected, choose a reason (This was a mistake or Important context was missed) and add a note. You will get a receipt with a reference number, and you can follow the status in Profile › Safety › My appeals.
We may update these Guidelines. When we make a material change, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app before you continue. The current version and date are shown below.
